President’s Letter

Dear San Ramon Valley Little League Community,

It is with great honor and excitement that I welcome you to the upcoming season of Little League baseball. Some of my fondest memories come from my experiences as a youth baseball player in the San Ramon Valley.

San Ramon Valley Little League’s goal is to create opportunities for your children to learn America’s pastime, forge long-lasting friendships, have fun, and make great memories. For years we have provided an abundance of opportunities enabling local children of all ages to learn and grow from baseball.

We are proud that SRVLL is one of the most storied little leagues in the United States. Established in 1959, SRVLL has a long history of on-field success, being one of only a few little leagues in the country to win the U.S. national title (Majors Division) multiple times (together with countless All Star District, Sectional, and Divisional championships).

I have recently been elected as President of SRVLL, and I could not be more thrilled. I am a product of the league, having grown up in Danville, and I had the privilege of playing on the 1991 national champion team where we lived every young baseball player’s dream – playing in the Little League World Series at Williamsport, Pennsylvania on ABC. Those are memories and friendships I will always cherish. Currently, I am a father of four children. I have had the opportunity to coach two of my children so far, and very much look forward to the upcoming season.

My ask of you is to get involved and be committed. SRVLL is a volunteer league, and there are several important roles that will need to be filled on each team in order to make this season a success. I assure you that your participation will not only enhance your child’s playing experience, but you will have a great time serving alongside some fantastic people. I have been immediately impressed working alongside the new SRVLL Board, which has already helped spearhead some exciting developments regarding our fields, coaches, uniforms, snack-shack, and more.

Registration for the Spring 2024 season will begin on October 15th. In the weeks ahead we will provide you with registration information and will remain available answer any questions you may have.

Play ball - and see you on the diamond!

Greg Isom

President of SRVLL
