League Roles
SRVLL is currently looking for individuals to assist with the following manager and committee member positions:
Umpire-in-Chief (1 person)
Help coordinate SRVLL’s umpire program, in conjunction with the Umpire Committee, by recruiting and organizing youth and adult umpires throughout the season and communicating rule information and training updates. The Umpire-in-Chief serves on the Board and additionally communicates the needs of umpires and provides input on rules and playing conditions.
Marketing and Communications Managers (2-4 people)
We are ready to share the great things that SRVLL is doing in the community. Help by coordinating our social media presence and interacting with the public about important events.
Events & Fundraising Committee Members (4-6 people)
Assist SRVLL with planning special events throughout the year, including Opening Day ceremonies, Coach Appreciation events, and others. Help make SRVLL a social place for people to enjoy each other’s presence!
Concessions Managers (2-4 people)
Help maintain the operation of concession facilities, including by scheduling volunteers to work the concession booth during events, organizing the purchase of concession products, being responsible for the management of concession sales at SRVLL events, and collecting, organizing and keeping a record of sales and purchases.
Coaching Committee Members (4-6 people)
Help recruit, interview and consider prospective managers and coaches and recommend acceptable candidates to the SRVLL President for appointment by the Board; assist the Coaching Coordinator with organizing coaching clinics and training materials for coaches; observe the conduct of managers and coaches during the playing season and reporting findings to the President; and help investigate complaints concerning managers and coaches and report to the President or Board.
Fields & Property Committee Member (4-6 people)
Lead field coordination for SRVLL, working closely with the SRVLL Fields & Property Officer, including by investigating and recommending sites and plans for development of buildings and grounds (including material repair and improvement recommendations), securing bids on supplies and equipment and making purchase recommendations to the Board, and assisting with repair/storage of property at the end of the season.
Umpire Committee Members (4-6 people)
Help recruit, interview and consider prospective umpires and recommend acceptable candidates for appointment and approval by the Board, observe the conduct of umpires during the playing season and reporting findings to the SRVLL President, and investigate complaints concerning umpires and report to the President or Board.
