A Winning Tradition Since 1959

SRV on a Mission

Since our inception in 1959, San Ramon Valley Little League All-Star Teams have raised a total of 60 Little League championship banners across all age groups—from District to National titles—making SRVLL the most successful Little League organization in the Bay Area.

As frequent champions of District 57, Section 3, and Northern California, SRVLL is also one of the few leagues in the entire country to have won multiple national titles and competed for the Little League World Series championship on four occassions.

SRVLL All-Stars FAQs

  • To be eligible for all-stars, players must be registered for SRVLL’s spring season and participate in no less than 75% of regular season games.

Eligible coaches must be registered as head coaches and assistant coaches during the SRVLL spring season. Volunteer assistant coaches (“third coaches”) will not be considered.

  • Every summer, SRVLL fields six all-star teams. For 10-year-olds, there are two tournament teams. For 11 and 12-year-olds, there is a one District team and one Tournament team per age group.

All-Star teams are determined by the SRVLL All-Star Committee, which is a group of league officials (board members and coordinators) familiar with the players and coaches in each division.

For players, the Committee bases their decision on a combination of factors, including on-field season performance, coach nominations, and, if necessary, all-star showcases.

After players are determined, the Committee selects three official coaches per team from a pool of registered league coaches who previously nominated themselves.

  • SRVLL all-star teams are announced the Tuesday after Memorial Day, once regular season playoffs have concluded.

  • SRVLL All-Stars runs from early June and end of July.

Teams will participate in approximately 15-20 games, depending on results, with practices 2-3 times per week.

It is required that players and coaches are available for no less than 90% of the scheduled games and practices.

  • For ages 11 and 12, each age has two all-stars teams: a District team and a Tournament team.

District teams participate in the Little League International tournament, which includes competing for District, Section, and State championships. For 12-year-olds only, if you win State, you can continue to compete for Regional, National, and World championships (aka: the Little League World Series).

Tournament teams compete in officially sanctioned Little League tournaments hosted by the local Little leagues within our District.

For 10-year-olds, there is no Little League International tournament, so there are two Tournament teams (an “A” and “B” team) who compete in officially sanctioned Little League tournaments hosted by the local Little leagues within our District.

  • For 10, 11, and 12-year-old teams—yes.

Unlike the regular season, there is no minimum defensive playing time requirement.

For 9-year-olds, players are required to play a minimum of two defensive innings per game.

For all ages, batting remains continuous, with every player in the lineup batting regardless of defensive position.
